Basore filed a 42 U.S.C. § 1983 complaint against The Maize Police department and James "Tim" Bryan. The City of Maize settled this case. Shortly after, James "Tim" Bryan moved to Valley, Alabama. While in Alabama, Bryan is mentioned in two additional 42 U.S.C. § 1983 suits in Valley, Alabama and was placed on leave from the Foley, Alabama Police Department.
